Are they Listening?

Are they Listening?
It seems the book from Perry Johnson was not a one-off mailing. My wife got an 8.5"x12" postcard from the Perry Johnson for President Inc. campaign today.  I feel like his campaign is trying to get out early for name recognition purposes perhaps.

And I feel like they must be reading my facebook posts.  My first complaint was that we got an unsolicited email.  So they send us a book a few days later.  Then I make note that the book is only about the economy and that a Republican candidate needs to talk about more than just money to win, especially in Iowa.  So today we get a large post card from the Johnson campaign talking about more than just the economy.

I like to keep an open mind, but he's from Xichigan, and well, I am not sure this Ohio native can forgive him for that.

Meanwhile, we were sent an invite to the yearly Feenstra Family Picnic (cost of $50 per person) where this year Ron DeSantis and his wife are scheduled to attend.  Typically we only visit the free events, but should we make an exception for this?  Technically he's not a candidate yet.

Whether we actually get a chance to spend any significant time with DeSantis or not is unknown considering a special private photo opportunity before the event cost at least $1,500 to $3,300 per person.

We'll have to think about this one some more.
