Baseball and Election Season

Baseball and Election Season
Although Baseball season and election season started about same time this year, election season lasts two years instead of just one. We will have a whole new baseball season come next year after the primaries are already well underway.  In fact, perhaps we will already know who the final candidates will be by the time the regular MLB season starts.  Or not.  Too early for me to even think about that.

But the Campaigns and Super PACS are definitely thinking about it already.  And their print mailing designers must be having some fun.  Today's baseball themed mailing comes from Never Back Down, Inc in promoting Ron DeSantis.  Perhaps the cover to this one could have easily been seen on an issue of Beckett Monthly.  The inside is all about baseball and winning.  Coincidentally, the teams from Florida are doing really well this year at the moment.

DeSantis is suppose to be in the area in just a couple days, so I would be concerned if we didn't get some mailings about this time.

On a side note, I received an unsolicited text message from another candidate yesterday.  In my mind, getting an unsolicited text message is probably a worse thing that getting an unsolicited email.  You start on the wrong footing with me when that happens.  But if we don't get some sort of snail mail from this candidate or he doesn't visit the area, I won't be adding them to the list of candidates for 2024.  If I added all people that file with the FTC, the list would be nearly 200 candidates long.  Most of them aren't serious.  So I have to draw the starting line somewhere else.
