A New Year's Fortnight
With just a fortnight left before we vote in Iowa, 2024 promises to be a very interesting year.
Today's roundup of postcards and letters include sends from candidates, campaigns, and super PACs supporting Binkley, Haley, and DeSantis.
AFP pushed out two pro-Haley postcards over the past few days (yes, our mailman delivered mail on New Year's Day).
The Binkley campaign sent out a four page letter from Ryan Binkley's wife, Ellie.
And after a very long draught, the Never Back Down super PAC sent two larger postcards. One in the typical pro-DeSantis fashion, but the other, a first for the super PAC, an add highlighting Haley's comments about immigration.
Unlike several of the past elections, we still don't have very many yard signs up. So I am not making any predictions. I am curious what turnout is going to be. Every vote is going to count and I expect there to be some surprises for some of the campaigns.
Caucus night is expected to be one of the coldest nights we have had all winter, but our winter up to this point has been very mild so in comparison to previous years, not all that bad. But just as in an election, anything can change in 14 days.
