Woops, He Did It Again!

Woops, He Did It Again!
For the second day in a row, the Trump campaign has sent us a postcard telling us to go to the WRONG caucus location. One time is a mistake, a second time begins a pattern.

And for the irony of it all, the postcard is attempting to convince us that DeSantis is "trying to rig the Iowa caucuses".  If you are going to accuse someone of such an act, you should probably not be doing it yourself at the very same time.

Needless to say, the accusation against Casey DeSantis is false to begin with.

Someone at the Trump campaign needs to get their act together and issue some sort of quick mailing to correct the incorrect caucus location on our postcards.  We certainly can't be the only ones that are getting incorrect locations.  The precinct is correct, but the location is wrong, so perhaps everyone in our precinct is getting the wrong postcard?

I still say this is probably an honest mistake, but a very bad honest mistake.  If we were in a more populated area, this might actually cause a lot of people to go to the wrong location.  But considering most people just toss these mailings and never look at them and those that do will know they shouldn't travel to a whole different town for the caucuses, I hope this isn't as big a deal as it could be.

Meanwhile, the Never Back Down super PAC has decided to start responding to the jabs DeSantis keeps getting hit with by Trump and Haley.

What goes around comes around.  The Haley super PAC kept trying to tell us that she was tough on China for the past several months, yet now she is the one taking the very hits on China.  This almost seems like the typical liberal playbook where they talk about the things they know are your own weakness before the other side starts talking about them.

I think the Haley campaign is having all kinds of issues though in Iowa, especially after she said to a New Hampshire audience that New Hampshire primary will correct how Iowa votes.  Even if you are trying to joke, that is NOT what you joke about.  Even before I ever lived in Iowa, I often looked at the winner of the New Hampshire Republican Primary as more liberal than the winner of the Iowa Caucuses.

When you combine this type of comment with the fact that Haley is spending most of her time in New Hampshire as opposed to Iowa, it makes me think she is more closely aligned with Chris Christie than a traditional conservative.

And that is where the next mailing comes into play.  Comments and actions by both Trump and Haley make me believe they are more on the left of social and moral issues.

Meanwhile, the telephone polls have really ramped up.  We are now getting multiple per day.  Are they polls from the media or the campaigns?  I don't know for sure, but they are all asking exactly the same set of questions in the exact same way.  That makes me wonder what their true purpose is.

You can really feel the tension in the air now.  I am are ready to vote and pass this on to the next state.
