The Final Count

The Final Count
Between the snow storm and election day actually being a federal holiday, a couple campaigns didn't schedule their mailings very well.

We received two postcards from AFP in support of Nikki Haley on the Tuesday after the election and three large postcards from the Ryan Binkley campaign.  A complete waste of money.  Coincidentally, they are both staying in the race as they transition to New Hampshire.

However Asa Hutchinson finally wised up and suspended his campaign the day after the caucuses, shrinking the list of candidates for New Hampshire to just four.

Chance to drop out before the New Hampshire Primary
Donald Trump - 0% Chance to Drop Out
Nikki Haley - 0% Chance to Drop Out
Ryan Binkley - 5% Chance to Drop Out
Ron DeSantis - 25% Chance to Drop Out
Asa Hutchinson - January 16, 2024
Vivek Ramaswamy - January 15, 2024
Chris Christie - January 10, 2024
Doug Burgum - December 12, 2023
Tim Scott - November 12, 2023
Mike Pence - October 28, 2023
Larry Elder - October 26, 2023
Perry Johnson - October 20, 2023
Corey Stapleton - October 13, 2023
Will Hurd - October 9, 2023
Francis Suarez - August 29, 2023

Barring any crazier than normal stuff, this race is pretty much over.  New Hampshire or Nevada would need to bring about some significant changes from Iowa's results if any other candidate besides Trump expects to win enough delegates to make a difference.

Here is the very last update to our snail mail totals as well.

Snail Mail FINAL Totals For The 2024 Iowa Caucuses

The biggest takeaway from this final count is that the Nikki Haley didn't spend a single penny on their own mailings (at least not to my mailbox).  Yet, super PACs supporting her candidacy spent more than any other candidate or their super PACs combined.  Other than the Hutchinson campaign, Haley's campaign is the only one that did not send any mailings.

That gives me the impression that the average Republican did not believe in her campaign.  The money to support her had to come from other sources.

And for those interested in a SMS update, here is where those numbers ended up.
